“I’m Not Into Galamsey, Disregard The Fallacies,”- Nyinawusu Chief Debunks Allegation
The Chief of Nyinawusu, a farming community within the Atwima Mponua Municipality of Ashanti Nana Osei Tutu, has debunked unfounded accusations that he is actively engaged in illegal mining activities.
Nana Osei Tutu says the public must vehemently kicked against such nuisance allegations levelled against him, believing his rivals want to defame his hard gained reputation.
Whilst speaking with the press, he expressed his dissatisfaction over the behaviour of some stubborn individuals in his communities who want to bring him down and plotted to fight and attacked him without any vindication.
“I have personally driven in to stop those who were doing the galamsey here in the community, so why should I do it? It’s all false allegations and I know where it’s coming from. I will plead with the public to omit such unjustified charges pressed against my charisma,” he noticed.
Moreover, he added that he will summon the said party who is behind the fallacy at the Otumfour’s Palace whenever appropriate.
“I will summon him the said individuals behind all these fabrications at our sitting at the traditional council. I will ensure he is punished to avoid a repetition of these nuisance acts’’, he reiterated.
In development, the traditional authority responded with the government to bring community mining to the neighbourhood in order to help the youth get jobs to do.
‘‘I am pleading with the government to help bring community mining to this community. The truth is that, the youth are jobless, so I think the community mining when introduced in the community can help curtail the unemployment rate and perhaps the criminalities’’.
