A 39-year-old teacher was admitted to the hospital following an alleged machete attack by her husband in Pankese in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
On Thursday night as Paulina Agruba was going to get some water, the suspect, Baaba Moses, attacked her.
According to witnesses who spoke with Akwasi Dwamena of Admo News, the couple had been having arguments for some time.
However, things changed unexpectedly when Baaba Moses attacked his wife for seeking a divorce.
They claim that the victim has now been taken to the hospital and is in a critical state.
Police have also taken Baaba Moses, the offender, into custody.
Residents have requested that the suspect be handled in accordance with the law.
