Eastern Region: Abstain from hard drugs – Queen Mother to Youths
Then Queen Mother of Kwahu Mframa a farming community in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region, Nana Amoakoa Ogyampah has urged the youth in the community and the country at large to desist from the use of drugs to avert future occurrences that will impede their general well being.
The caution from Nana Amoakoa comes at the back of a murder case that befalls the community by a Twenty-Three (23) year old Kwadjo Noah who allegedly murdered his Twenty (20) year old pregnant wife Adjoa Benewaa and their one and a half year daughter.
The 1 and a half old is on admission at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital receiving treatment.
The said murder case happened on Monday 9th October, 2023, when the suspect went to farm with the victims where he carried out the said action.
According to the mother of the victim, Mad Adwoa Yeboah, after the incident, Kwadjo Noah called her and told her what he has done to his wife in the farm.
The body of the deceased is deposited at the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary while the suspect is in the custody of the Nkawkaw Divisional police command to assist in investigation.
Speaking with Angel tv /fm reporter, Oheneba Siaw Nana Amoakoa Ogyampah advised that, the youth must engage themselves in doing better jobs and abstain from drug addiction.
On his side, the Uncle of the deceased, Mr. Richmond Asante bemoan how a 23 year old can killed his fiance whom he stays with two kids. Recounting on maltreatment, he was quick to add that the suspect has been mating out to her which he recalled one occurrence did separated them by him and other family members.
A resident who spoke with Angel news Oheneba Siaw urged that the law must take it’s course but it doesn’t and if such happens again, they the youth will cause instant justice.
They said nothing of this sort has happened in the town before so the law must work to serve as deterrence to others youth who are addicted to drugs.
