Snakes invade houses in Berekum, residents bare teeth on government officials for sleeping on their jobs
Residents of New Biadan in the Berekum East district of the Bono Region have bared teeth against the political leaders in the district over failure to clear a heaped refuse site that has bred dangerous reptiles and other animals that keep chasing them out of their rooms, causing fear and panic as days gone by.
This request came after the inhabitants of New Biadan killed a dangerous Cobra that invaded one house in broad daylight.
Speaking to Angel News in an interview, some of the aggrieved residents denoted that Hon. Nelson Kyeremeh and Hon. Kofi Adjei, their Member of Parliament and MCE respectively have turned deaf ears to their continuous plea to evacuate the heaped refuse dump to make a living conditions appropriate because the landfill has produced a lot of dangerous snakes that hunt them day and night.
They have threatened to boycott all pending elections should the Member of Parliament (MP and DCE) fail to clear the refuse dump because it breeds mosquitoes which has also led to the spread of malaria among the inhabitants stressing that the unhygienic condition of the dumping site has result to the spread of filth-related diseases which need immediate attention to prevent future unforeseen health circumstances.
