Former President John Dramani Mahama Must Speak About That Despicable Three-month Pay Policy He Initiated – William Boadi, EAI

“He that brought sugarcane also brought flies” – Osofo Ahmed Kyei

Former President John Mahama is seriously embarking on the Building Ghana Tour across the country ahead of the 2024 general election to restore hope and canvas for votes to enable him to emerge victorious.

However, he is stressing many promises including a 24-hour economy and many Ghanaians are pondering the policy. Unfortunately, I have not heard or seen him talking about the infamous three-month pay policy he initiated which affected teachers from 2013 to 2016. The 2015 batch of trained teachers who graduated from the College of Education was also severely contrived.

Therefore, I’m by this release reminding former President John Mahama to let the aggrieved teachers know whether he has regretted and will pay the arrears if he becomes a president for the second time. This may help restore the hope of affected teachers. Those teachers voted for the current NPP government based on the promise that they would pay that arrears meanwhile it is a white elephant.

Honestly speaking, the former President should never have thought that he had been forgiven. I dare him to speak about it. That was one of the insensitive actions he behaved.

I am a Ghanaian, and Africa is born in me. Ghana first.
