NDC Women’s Organizer Assures Economic Relief and Inclusivity in Salaga North

During a recent tour at Salaga North, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, the National Women’s Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed party members with a fervent message of economic reform and social inclusion. With passionate conviction, she highlighted the challenges faced by the people under the current administration and outlined a vision for a more equitable and prosperous future under the leadership of Former John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Alhasan Mumuni.

Dr. Bisiw-Kotei pointed out the stark economic disparities experienced by ordinary Ghanaians, emphasizing the soaring prices of basic commodities like sugar. She lamented that under the Nana Addo administration, a bag of sugar had become prohibitively expensive, costing over seven hundred cedis, compared to the affordable price of one hundred and five cedis during the tenure of John Dramani Mahama. This sharp increase in prices has placed undue financial strain on families, exacerbating poverty and hardship.

Moreover, Dr. Bisiw-Kotei highlighted the plight of the Muslim and Fulani communities, whose access to affordable travel for religious pilgrimage has been hindered by rising costs. She noted with concern that under the current administration, the once-accessible journey to Mecca has become financially burdensome, forcing individuals to travel to Accra for flights, further marginalizing these communities. Promising to rectify this injustice, she pledged to restore affordable travel options and reaffirm respect for the Fulani people.

In her address, Dr. Bisiw-Kotei outlined the NDC’s comprehensive plan to uplift the people of Salaga North and Ghana as a whole. Central to this plan is the provision of skill training programs aimed at empowering individuals to establish their businesses and reduce poverty. She assured constituents that, if elected, the NDC administration would provide capital support to budding entrepreneurs, enabling them to thrive in their endeavors.

Education was also a focal point of Dr. Bisiw-Kotei’s agenda, as she promised scholarships for deserving students to study abroad. This commitment to education reflects the NDC’s dedication to fostering human capital development and creating opportunities for the youth to excel on a global stage.

Looking ahead to the upcoming election on December 7th, 2024, Dr. Bisiw-Kotei urged voters to cast their ballots for John Dramani Mahama as president and Hon. Alhasan Mumuni as their representative in Parliament. She emphasized that under their leadership, Salaga North would experience a resurgence of hope and prosperity, with tangible support for farmers, artisans, and all sectors of the community.

In conclusion, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei’s impassioned address resonated deeply with the people of Salaga North, offering a beacon of hope amidst economic uncertainty and social inequity. With promises of economic relief, social inclusion, and a brighter future, the NDC’s vision for Ghana is one of progress and prosperity for all.

Thank you.

Dr. (MRS) Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, National Women Organizer, NDC.
